Machinefabriek Otto Schouten has been specialized in producing stainless steel machines since its establishment in 1961. When plastic and plastic recycling became more common, Otto Schouten immediately recognized that stainless steel is ideal for the machines needed for recycling. Stainless steel is highly suitable for “wet” recycling processes, making it maintenance-free and ensuring a very long service life as it doesn’t rust when exposed to water or saline solutions.

From the very beginning, we focused on developing these stainless steel machines and machine lines. Decades later, Otto Schouten is a leading specialist in machine construction for plastic recycling. With over 40 years of experience in various plastic recycling techniques, we manufacture custom machines, units, and installations for processing plastic waste streams.

We are involved from the very first customer inquiry in the realization of machines and installations for plastic recycling. In-house Technology

We design and build machines and modules for plastic recycling entirely in-house. We have a fully equipped machine park and a strong team of experienced, specialized technicians.

Because we build in stainless steel, the aftercare for the machines is minimal. However, we always maintain an ample stock of spare parts to assist our clients immediately if a new or replacement part is needed.
